Patency
Is there an open path for air? Positioning, opening, or clearing may be needed.
Ventilation
Is enough air moving in and out? An open airway alone does not provide a breath.
Oxygenation
Is oxygen reaching the blood? Supplemental oxygen still needs an effective route.
