Online coursework does not replace supervised hands-on competency. Follow your scope of practice, local protocols and medical direction.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

What You’ll Learn

  • Distinguish arrest and threatened arrest, identify the possible injury/medical sequence and organize a shared reversible-cause plan.
  • Explain coordinated hemorrhage control, capability-based volume support and effective oxygenation/ventilation in traumatic arrest.
  • Integrate authorized treatment of obstructive mechanisms with rhythm care and appropriately limited monitoring.
  • Evaluate medications, post-ROSC support, transport and stopping decisions through the applicable protocol, population and medical direction.
  • Revise written plans in progressive traumatic and possible medical-first arrest cases and communicate the evidence, response and unresolved needs.
