COURSE OVERVIEW

Learning That Fits Your Schedule

Work through the lessons, required activities and knowledge checks. Your saved place lets you return between sessions. Complete the final assessment and evaluation to receive a learning completion record.

Online coursework does not replace supervised hands-on competency. Follow your scope of practice, local protocols and medical direction.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

What You’ll Learn

  • Recognize ongoing thermal exposure, mixed burn depth and anatomical features that change severity.
  • Calculate and communicate a depth-qualified burn-area estimate using adult, age-adjusted or explicitly defined hand methods.
  • Prioritize safe cooling, nonconstricting wound protection and whole-patient temperature care with response checks.
  • Recognize airway, circulatory and constriction deterioration and coordinate scope-appropriate support and destination across mechanisms and patient needs.
  • Construct and critique progressive burn plans that preserve estimation limits, treatment chronology, reassessment and practical-review boundaries.
