LEARNING OBJECTIVES

What You’ll Learn

  • Distinguish limited reactions from evolving anaphylaxis using exposure, time course and physiological findings, including presentations without hives.
  • Prioritize authorized epinephrine, medication verification and positioning that supports breathing and circulation.
  • Assess airway, respiratory, circulatory, skin and gastrointestinal changes and recognize a transition to resuscitation needs.
  • Interpret treatment response, adjunct limitations, device differences and special-population or differential concerns during escalation and transport.
  • Construct an evolving response and accurate handoff that preserve exposure, medication timing, recurrence and uncertainty.
